2.6.1 2021 NACO Training Review
For the Fall 2021 and Winter 2022 semesters the Cataloging and Metadata department will participate in a 33 week-long review of modules 1-5 and 7-8 from the PCC NACO training.
ExpectationsAll non-student employees are expected to participate unless otherwise directed by their supervisor. Weekly updates will be sent via email by the Metadata and Identities Librarian highlighting the NACO training content for that week. Participating employees will review each week’s assigned material following the NACO Module Review Schedule listed below. They will also attend seven 1-hr virtual Q&A sessions conducted by the Metadata and Identities Librarian and Authorities Specialist. These sessions are designed to answer questions, highlight key principles and practices, and clarify material covered during the review.
Future TrainingModules 1-5 and 7-8 will be reviewed by all members of the department. Modules 6 and 6a will be reviewed with faculty in 2022 as part of the Conventional Collective Titles training project. Department-wide training on Modules 6 and 6a will occur in future training sessions.

Synchronous Q&A Sessions
There will be seven synchronous 1-hr Q&A sessions scheduled during this training period. Each training session will be held on Zoom led by the Metadata and Identities Librarian. Calendar invitations with the link to the Zoom meeting will be sent out to members of the department.
